Impressions of the Kaleiçi Mosque in Kusadasi

This is our last holiday article of Kusadasi. From the ship, you see the minaret of the Kaleiçi mosque built in 1618. It is open for tourists but during prayer times only for Muslims. In the street you see decorated water sources for people to wash their hands and arms before praying. Unfortunately I could not enter the Mosque because I wore shorts. I will make sure this is not the case in the Emirates and Oman on one of our next trips.

  14. Nice shots. Interesting mosque too.

Over here in Malaysia, even if you wear shorts, you may be able to enter certain mosque because the mosque provide robes for visitors to wear if they are not "appropriately" dressed. :)

  15. The design and motives are very similar to what we have here in Malaysia. Yeah, just like lina said, here in Malaysia, they sometimes provide robes for visitors who are not attired to the rules.. We have many beautiful mosques here too..

The photos you took are really beautiful Filip!
